Dyan Chaney received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida in 1993, her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 1996, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Chattanooga in Tennessee in 2009.  She holds a certification in Pilates for rehab practitioners from Polestar Pilates, and is a certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.   Dyan has been a member of both the American and Florida Physical Therapy Associations since 1996.

Her interest in physical therapy originated from always being active.  She has danced since age 2, and began instructing aerobics classes at age 13.  Presently, she enjoys dancing, running, yoga, Pilates, weight-training, and walking.

Dyan has a well-rounded background in healthcare and rehabilitation. Her first physical therapy position, which she held for 5 years, entailed managing the inpatient physical therapy department at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale.  In 2000, Dyan established her practice, Get to the Core.  She enjoys patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, and has worked in multiple settings: inpatient, outpatient, dance studios, theatres, homes, and yachts. Dyan has worked extensively with local and professional dancers and with casts of travelling Broadway shows.

In her free time, Dyan enjoys her family, Marvin, her husband, daughter Sadie, and her Doberman, Penny.  Cooking, gardening, reading, going the beach, and spending time with friends and family are also her passions.
